Erzhan Turgumbekov and Gaibatulla Gadzhialiev meet at RCC Boxing Promotion tournament
Russia’s Erzhan Turgumbekov (8-1-1) and Gaibatulla Gadzhialiev (7-2-1) will clash for a ranking Super Featherweight bout at RCC Boxing Promotions tournament.
Erzhhan Turgubekov made his debut as a professional in 2018 and already has 10 bouts. Erzhan quite quickly moved up in the world ranking for his short-term career and now he is 183rd out of 1461. He won the EBP title at 58.96 kg against Heorhii Lashko in July 2019. Erzhan was still unbeaten after his last bout; he lost to Albert Batyrgaziev by TKO in Kazan on August.
Gaibatulla Gadzhialiev has a great amateur career; he took part on the national boxing team of Azerbaijan, was a bronze medalist of the European Championship, a participant in the Olympic Games in London. He successfully make his debut at a professional level in June 2016. He started performing in the United States and then came back in Russia continuing his career and not even once lost.
He met with a stalwart Russian prospect Georgi Chelokhsaev (15-1-1) for the vacant EBP Super Light Title at RCC Boxing Promotions tournament in November 2018; Gaibatulla was struck to the ground in first round, suffered till the end, and lost by unanimous decision. After that bout he took part in two more ones, one draw and one defeat. Gadzialiev closed his defeats just last year.
