Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov will hold the second defense of the WBC International title
Boxer of the RCC Academy of Martial Arts Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov (14-0, 9ko) found out the date of his next fight. On November 2, he will hold the second defense of the WBC International title, which he won last year. His opponent will be Pablo Vicente (15-1, 13ko) from Cuba. The fight will take place in the main card of the RCC Boxing Promotions show in Ekaterinburg.
Both boxers have been performing professionally for three years and are in the top 15 of the WBC ranking. Unlike Yaqubov, who goes without a defeat, Vicente comes up to the fight with a series of three early victories, but a year ago, he defeated in the title fight the Mexican Marcos Villasana Jr. by split decision. Despite this defeat, the Cuban is the strongest of the country's boxers in his weight.
Muhammadkhuja Yaqubov won the first title in the first year of his performance among professionals. It was the WBC Asian title. Since then, he has been the WBO World Youth Champion, Continental (WBA) and Intercontinental (WBC) champion. Now Yaqubov has decided to compete in the WBC, so if he wins on November 2, he will enter the top ten and get closer to the fight for the world title.
