Evgeny Tishchenko will defend the WBO Inter-Continental title in November
Olympic champion Evgeny Tishchenko (5-0) will have his next professional fight in the card of the RCC Boxing Promotions tournament on November 2 in Ekaterinburg.
The Russian boxer will face the first defense of the WBO Inter-Continental title, which he won in a bout against African champion Abraham Tabul (16-1-1) in July this year.
This time, Tishchenko will fight against former WBA Asian champion, undefeated Issa Akberbayev (20-0, 15ko). Interestingly, he is the first opponent of Tishchenko who has no defeat. Moreover, Akberbayev already held the intercontinental champion title and was the GBC world champion.
Recall that Tishchenko made his debut in professionals in 2018 and since then has already held five successful fights, including in the USA. Now the boxer of the RCC Academy of Martial Arts is in the 11th place in the WBO and 14th place in the IBF rankings. Recently Evgeny flew to Russia from the USA, where he helped Tyson Fury in preparation for the fight against Otto Wallin.
